Warm up your plastic!
Too cold to head out to pickup? Hate putting on ten layers of clothes only to play three on three when nobody shows up? Still need your Frisbee fix through those long dark winter months? Well then come on out and register for Ultimate Chicago's Indoor Winter League!
Played on indoor walled soccer fields at a new facility on the south side, indoor ultimate is the same basic game with just a few slight rules variations.
- You play strictly timed games as opposed to playing to a point total. No point caps, etc. you stop playing when the buzzer sounds.
- A smaller field and fewer players (5 on 5).
- Shorter stall counts to keep things moving.
- Scores are caught in the goalie box (not the actual net, but the lined box in front of the goal) which means you can score from three sides of the endzone!
Each person can sign up with one buddy. Buddies must all sign up before the deadlines in order to be guaranteed a spot on the same team.
Winter League will generally run from early January to late February and take place on Sunday nights, from 6pm-11pm. Each team plays one 75 minute round per week. The facility is run by the brand new Chicago Indoor Soccer located at 3900 S. Ashland. www.chicagoindoorsoccer.com
